- 2 cups – Brown Basmati or Jasmine Rice
- 2 1/2 cups – Chicken Broth or Vegetable Broth or Water
- 2 teaspoons – Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 – 3 cloves -Fresh Garlic – chopped
Add the Olive Oil to a pot and heat. Then add the chopped Garlic and saute for about 3 minutes or until lightly browned. Add the uncooked Brown Rice and stir to coat with the heated Olive Oil and Garlic. Continue to stir until a good portion of the rice browns. Keep stirring until a few of the rice kernals start to burn, then add the broth or water. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for approximately 30 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.
